Saturday 8th February. The Geoff Tooley-Mike Kemp Duo debuts at the very popular La Terraza Tapas Bar which, with very welcoming proprietor Shelley, offers great traditional Spanish foods cooked by chefs from Murcia and Andalusia. Highly recommended.

31st December 2019. The Sticky Wicket Swing Orchestra playing a really memorable evening in the Clore Ballroom at London’s Royal Festival Hall. A great night.

Friday 22nd November 2019. The Geoff Tooley Trio at renowned Peterborough vegan restaurant When Polly Met Fergie. Geoff, leader, vocals & double bass, Bobby Orr, drums and me on the house piano. Great venue, great audience and great food.

Thursday 21st November 2019. The UK National Drum Fair and The Studio, Palace Theatre, Redditch host a monthly drumming performance clinic inviting some of the UK’s top drumming talent to perform. Sticky Wickett was the guest on this occasion. He showed and played historic drums and techniques from the 1940s onwards demonstrating how styles evolved. Sticky invited double bassist, Geoff Tooley, and me, as regular members of his band, to provide musical examples.

A really lovely afternoon gig on a beautiful sunny day with Sue Greenway, tenor and soprano saxes, and Geoff Tooley, double bass, at the elegant Lygon Arms Hotel on Broadway High Street in the Cotswolds. There was a lovely listening audience and we were very well looked after by the friendly staff.
17th May 2018. Great gig with Ian Hill and Geoff Tooley. We were booked to play on a boat and cruise for a couple of hours on the river Ouse. 5th May 2018. What a great gig with Spicy Jazz at a charity concert at St. Nicholas Church, Kenilworth, raising funds for Myton Hospices. Bob Jackson, trombone, Zoltan Sagi, clarinet and alto, Sticky Wicket, drums, Steve Kershaw, double bass) and me on the ironing board piano. The band is so good that we decided to stay together after the war.

June 4th, 2009. The welcoming Burgandy Wine Bar in Kendal, Cumbria, hosted an evening of Bob Flag’s hilarious Jazz Kabaret. Bob on alto, wigs, masks and hats, Ted Richards, drums, Rob Steele, double bass and me at the piano. Different but a great night of jazz and comedy.
